Compared with conventional civil‑engineering‑built substations, box‑type substations of the same capacity generally occupy only 1/10 ~ 1/5 of the land area of conventional ones, which greatly reduces design workload, construction work and investment costs. In distribution systems, it can be applied in ring‑network distribution systems, as well as dual‑power or radial terminal distribution systems. It serves as a new‑type complete‑set equipment for construction and renovation of urban and rural substations.
